What Is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology comes from the word “kinetic”, meaning movement or energy, and “ology”, meaning the study of. Simply put, kinesiology is the study of energy in movement.
Kinesiology uses gentle muscle testing to identify areas where the body’s energy is “switched on” or “switched off.” This allows the practitioner to communicate directly with the body’s subconscious awareness, bypassing the conscious mind. While you may consciously feel you want to work on a particular issue, your body may indicate something else needs addressing first in order to restore balance more effectively.
A kinesiology treatment can help with physical, emotional, mental, and energetic imbalances, particularly those caused by shock, stress, or trauma stored within the body. Each session is completely individual, guided by what your body needs on the day. The switching off & on of the muscles method has been designed with the integration of modern chiropractic, naturopathy, osteopathy, ancient Chinese techniques including the meridians & acupressure points, to get to & alleviate the root of the body’s pain. Balances may include supportive tools such as crystals, Tibetan bowls, Bach Flower Remedies, scents, oracle cards, and other gentle methods.
